Samsung does not only make computers, LCD and plasma TVs, home theater systems, and a slew of other consumer electronics, they are also pretty adept at the MP3 player market as well, with the R1 and R0 being the latest of such devices to arrive. These two models are touted to offer high quality multimedia content while optimizing such files for memory space. The R1 is no larger than a credit card, and yet has enough processing firepower to play a host of video content without the need for any conversion, while the R0 will deliver an excellent audio and video experience without breaking the bank.

It’s not too difficult to pick up on that there seems to be a common color among amps that you find onstage. It’s not that manufacturers are incapable of creating a different color combination, it’s more that most bands prefer their sound equipment to blend in with the woodwork. Well for the bands that want something a little different for a change, Orange has a whole set of brightly colored sound equipment. I’m sure you can guess what color they all feature. In recent events they came out with the Thunder 30 , which is expected to be released sometime during the spring. The Thunder 30 features four EL84 class power valves that will kick out 30 watts. One new portion about this new gadget is that it has a twin channel setup. It also has an FX loop, standard clean channel and a dedicated overdrive/distortion channel with shape control. It appears to be a great choice for those that value both sound quality as well as looks. It’s odd to see a technology device named after a very classic piece of jewelry, but if it helps keep your cords cleaned up it’s worth a shot. Despite the name, it doesn’t attempt to hide that it is there to help manage your earphone cords. Instead it just keeps things nice and simple. It doesn’t look like much of anything and within is all the storage you’ll need. Once it’s flipped open, there’s a spot to wind the cord around. After it’s all wound up, the end for your ears comes out the top and then there is a small hole for the other end to come out the bottom. It’ll keep you from having a lot of excess cord. Plus, it’ll keep them tidy while the set of earbuds are in your pocket. For one of these it’ll only cost you $4.19 through Amazon .

As if having a flashlight to help you in your nightly rounds isn’t enough, this one comes with an added advantage – it has a hidden camcorder within complete with nightvision capability, letting you collect evidence if the situation requires without your subject being any wiser for it. Of course, this is good only as long as you are no more than 8 feet away from your subject, since that is as far as the nightvision range works (including audio) in complete darkness.

Apparently these oddly shaped speakers are Japan’s very first set of active speakers that are solar-powered. These look more like a cryptic scroll than a set of speakers, but they are speakers. They’re also speakers that will help you become just a little more eco-friendly. After all, every little bit helps. These flat speakers are shaped just right to give you the sound you need and suck up all the sun they’ll require to keep up and running. Once the Lithium-ion battery has managed to get a full charge, the speakers will run for a full 8 hours continuously. The 19.5cm by 11.2cm by 5cm speaker can be connected to your iPod or MP3 player through the stereo mini input. It weighs 290 grams and will be released in Japan sometime this coming March. At that time it’ll be priced at 5,250 Yen or right around $58. Source: TechFresh Tech Cult – We cover the latest tech news, but always with a funny twist.
