The BookBook has already been released for the MacBook, but now it’s making its way to the iPad to make sure that it stays safe as well. The BookBook converts your modern looking gadgets into antique books. It’s the perfect case for the gadget lover that still loves the smell and look of antique books. Plus, it might work as a theft deterrent since it looks like nothing more than a simple hardcover book. The cover zips up to keep the iPad inside, plus there are plenty of things inside of the book to make sure that your iPad doesn’t shift around. Thanks to the hardcover case this also doubles as a handy little stand. The case may be mildly bulky, but at least it does double duty. Plus you’ll probably very rarely come across anyone with a case quite like this one. There are two different color options for the case, both of which are pictured above. You can purchase one for $69.99 through Twelve South

As small gadgets get more and more popular as well as convenient, tiny notebooks filled with paper get used less and less. Thankfully you can still appear to be one of the few committed to clinging to using real paper and a pen with this little accessory. It looks like nothing more than a simple little black book, but on the inside is actually your iPhone. The case still allows for you to have access to all of the necessary ports. Then when it’s not in use, you just close the book and wrap the band around it. It’ll fit the iPhone 4, 3G and 3Gs. Although it’s not just a one size fits all type, the creator just happens to create cases for each of those sizes. The bright red bookmark that’s attached to the notebook allows for you to easily pop out the iPhone when you need it. You can also pick up an iPad case if you are interested in that instead. The iPad case is $54.99 and the iPhone is $39.99 through Etsy. Source: GeekyGadgets Tech Cult – We cover the latest tech news, but always with a funny twist.

For some parents, they just have to log all the things the baby does in a baby book. I think we did that for our firstborn, but after the second, it sort of gets forgotten about. However, the Day to Night Baby Log is a baby book like no other

Reading in bed is a soothing way to unwind from a long day for many people. With this booklight, you’ll no longer have a need for a bookmark, nor will your book have any dog eared pages. Just place your current book right on top of the light and you have yourself an interesting way to keep track of what page you’re on. The light uses a low energy 11 watt bulb. Which means you can leave your book on the light all night long and the bulb will never get hot enough to damage the book. Just plug the light into the wall and it will give you a soft light to read by. The dim light would be great to help slow your brain down a little. Unfortunately, right now the light isn’t available through the Firebox US site. That means that unless you’re in the UK you may be out of luck. The price is set at £39.95 and if they come in stock for the US again, they’ll cost you $64. Source: RGS Tech Cult – We cover the latest tech news, but always with a funny twist

Many of the book lights attach to your book itself. One thing I’ve never liked about that is that I feel like I’m constantly shifting the light when I turn a page or just need to see a different side of the page. Now whether or not this HUGlight is the solution for that is debatable. Yes, it is a bit silly looking but the design would illuminate both pages without having to move it at all. The device drapes over your neck, which might feel awkward and uncomfortable for some people. However, if you don’t think that’s going to be an issue, then it’s not too bad. The flexible wire arm is 9 inches long and covered in a soft foam. The foam would help make it more comfortable. It has a 40 hour battery light and uses 4 LED lights. The HUGlight can be purchased for $14.95 through Amazon .

The Sandford police department from the film Hot Fuzz would definitely appreciate this particular device. Some of you might remember the “swear jar” that the clueless cops kept there, and the terrific scene where Nick Angel (Simon Pegg) fills it up when he vents his frustration against the other officers’ ignorance

Any toy that teaches kids about alternative energy in a way that makes it fun for them is definitely okay in my book. I’ve seen some that are kits and a bit more complicated. Honestly, I think that this car is one of the best approaches I’ve seen. It goes for the subtle angle, it’s a fun remote control car and doesn’t need a single battery to run. Even kids know the joys of searching for batteries in the house so that their treasured battery-operated toys will work. Explaining to them that this doesn’t need any and why, is a fantastic way to teach them about renewable energy. The car itself actually runs on zero-emission hydrogen fuel. It also utilizes solar energy, so it’ll teach them about a couple of different methods. It can be purchased for $147.95 through Amazon .
