Book Lamp lights up unused books

When you picture a book light, somehow I doubt that you would picture a book that’s been gutted and had a light installed inside.  If you don’t mind sacrificing a book you could make your very own book lamp.  You can even choose one that has the title to put a funny spin on things.  Like the one chosen by the original creator, “The Illuminatusi Trilogy”. The whole light has a tutorial to guide you along your path to create a Book Lamp.  Since you’re just using a used book of your own, the project won’t cost you much either.

Forever21 augmented reality billboard at Times Square

Some of you might remember when we reported on this billboard in the Netherlands that used augmented reality to make it look like the bystanders were in the scene being displayed. This is another billboard that uses augmented reality, and it is located in New York City’s famous Times Square. This one takes the augmented reality one step further as it can interact with the crowd

Western Digital 1TB My Book AV DVR expander ready for World Cup season

With England heading into the second round of the World Cup to face off with the Germans, both Al and I are happy that the Three Lions have started to click although Jermain Defoe would need to be more prolific in front of goal, while the rest of the boys ought to start making their chances count since with the Germans, they really aren’t beaten until the scoreline says so and they are on the bus (or in this case, plane) back to Germany.

Sure, we’ve all seen augmented reality done for advertising products before, however, I’ve never really seen anything like this until today. Remember a while ago, when it was on Coke Zero cans

Augmented Reality Billboard shows us our ignorance

I personally think that this is a terrible situation, but the people of the Netherlands have a problem with public service employees such as paramedics being attacked while doing their job. What makes this problem even greater is those who see such crimes often do very little to stop them.

Barnes & Noble offer Nook e-book reader

Barnes & Noble is a name commonly associated with books, and it is interesting to note that the company has moved into Amazon Kindle territory with other notable competitors such as Sony’s touchscreen e-reader and Irex’s releases as well, offering their latest e-book reader known as ‘Nook’. Don’t laugh at its name though – Nook is one fine looking e-book reader that will definitely have you reading more voraciously than ever before simply because you won’t mind pulling it out from your backpack for the umpteenth time throughout the day instead of showing everyone your dog-eared paperback (while giving the game away that you’re sloppy enough to mistreat your books)
