Leap Frog Leapster Explorer

I’ve reported on Leap Frog products before, such as the Didj and the Leapster II . They are terrific at making portable and electric gaming/educational toys for kids in the grade school years, and they just announced the Leapster Explorer Learning Experience yesterday. If you didn’t hear about it, I don’t blame you.

Generator racing does away with batteries

Whenever you get stuff for your little ones, especially remote controlled toys, chances are the maintenance of said toy will burn a larger hole in your pocket than the original no thanks to it running on batteries. With the Generator Racing , using batteries are a thing of the past since this £39.95 purchase will rely on a manual power generator to generate the required juice for your race car to move around the track

Roller Buggy raises safety concerns

My Source states that this Roller Buggy could be a bad idea, and I’m not certain. As someone who has a lot of log time pushing a baby or two around in a stroller, I could use something to make it easier.

Tetra Nightlight is cord-free

With absolutely no cords attached to this light you can put it anywhere you like.  You won’t be restricted by the location of outlets within your home.  Just find a dark corner that you’d like to brighten and leave it there.  It’s actually made for a child’s room, but it won’t discriminate between adults and children.  It’d be happy to offer light to all ages. This looks like an odd little milk carton, so it’d be even more cute if your child has a toy kitchen of some kind.  To turn it on you just press the button that’s directly on the bottom.  You won’t have to worry about it hurting anyone, because it doesn’t have a single hot spot on the light.  In order to keep it powered you just need 3 AAA batteries.  The Tetra Nightlight will cost you $42 through Etsy

Nuvo giving away 15 Ritmo Pregnancy Sound Systems

There is no end to products that could be added to the expectant mother wishlist.  It seems like the more new technology that’s released the longer and more impossible that list gets.  Thankfully Nuvo is helping you take off a decent chunk for those highly interested in the Ritmo, which would save you $129.  When you’re trying to get supplies for a new baby, that’s a huge help.  If you’re not expecting but know someone that is, you might want to give them a heads up on this one. Nuvo will start this in May and will end it in September, they’ll give away one of these per month.  If you’re unfamiliar with the Ritmo, it allows for you to not only play music for your baby, but also recordings.  That means if a family member records themselves reading a story, you can play it for your baby and create a stronger bond.  Plus you could use it even during the most sweaty of activities (like working out), since it’s completely machine washable.  Just follow this link to find out more, although keep in mind that link won’t go active until May 1st.  If you’re reading this before then, just bookmark it and check back later. Fisher-Price Remot Controlled Ocean Wonders Mobile

Mobiles for a baby were one thing I didn’t realize needed updating, but this one would come in very handy.  Instead of just having little dangly items that spin above their head, they’ve thrown in a few electronic extras.  All of which are sure to keep your baby fascinated and hopefully sooth them into a deep sleep.  All of that without you getting caught turning it on or off. You can stand just at the doorway and hit a button on the remote control.  Then when your child needs a little extra soothing, you won’t get spotted and cause more of a problem.  To keep infants calm it has soothing music and a light show.  The base of it has a soft clear front that is filled with water, fish and glitter.  When the child presses on it, it will send all of that swooshing around.  As they get older it can be placed on a nightstand or dresser to keep the light show going.  To purchase it, it will cost you $99.99 through Amazon .

Philips Avent Bottle Warmer

The Philips Avent line already has a few different baby accessories for new parents to pick up.  Well this bottle warmer is one more from the series.  Although instead of just warming bottles, it’s actually capable of warming up baby food as well.  Which might not be enough to justify the gadget for some parents, but it could be useful to get you what you need much faster. It can work on frozen or merely chilled foods as well as liquids.  It will automatically calculate the cycle time required, so there are no guessing games.  It also has an interactive digital display, auto-shut off, sound alerts and easy 2-button operation.  It warms up bottles and baby food in as little as 1 minute and 50 seconds.  You can purchase one of these Philips Avent IQ Bottle Warmers for $47.91 through Amazon
