Tocky Alarm Clock bounces away

You might remember Clocky, an alarm clock that rolls away and hides the moment it goes off.  Which leaves you to run off and chase it down before you can shut it down.  Well apparently this is Clocky’s tech saavy brother.  Instead of rolling away, this hops off of your nightstand and rolls away.  Just like Clocky you’ll be stuck chasing it down in order to make the alarm stop. This clock even has a built-in microphone so that you can record your own sounds to wake up with.  It means college students can still wake up to the sound of their mother’s voice.  If you really don’t want to feel that close to your mother you can also upload MP3s to it.  Tocky comes in orange, aqua, kiwi and white.  For a little extra cash you can get a skin 2 pack for the clock.  You can purchase it for $79 through Nanda Home .

Mutewatch does show the time

Although the Mutewatch may appear to either be some furturistic concept or merely something given to convicts on their way out into the free world, it’s actually a watch.  It is a fully functioning watch that will be perfectly easy to learn to use.  Not only is this ninja of a watch easy to use, but it’s actually up for sale.  That is you can at least add your name to a list of those waiting for their watch to get out of the pre-sale stage. The Mutewatch is as silent as the name states.  It doesn’t tick away and it even has a silent alarm.  Instead of beeping out loud like a normal alarm this one just vibrates your wrist.  Then on the face of the watch it keeps things plain up until you swipe across the face to activate the screen.  These come in white, gray or even red.  You just need to pick it up for € 199 or about $260

Banclock gets an update

It used to be that the Banclock was just a big square block.  Instead of going that route, now you can buy one that has a little more of that classic alarm clock feel.  Sure, it is just as evil as the original by forcing you to pay up those hard earned coins every time you want a little extra sleep.  Yet at least it looks cute while it’s sucking you dry of all of your change. The clock will start chiming by the dollar sign banging against the twin bells.  To get it to sleep for a little while you’ll have to pop a coin into the top.  If you run out of change you’ll just have to crawl out of bed to make all of that noise stop.  It runs on 2 AA batteries, which are not included.  Plus the clock comes in pink, black and white.  You can purchase it for $55 through the Japan Trend Shop . Flip Clock spells it out

Clocks are full of all sorts of numbers, which does the job perfectly fine.  Except that it’s pretty boring to always read time the same old way.  Instead of just glancing at numbers, you can read the words.  It’s the perfect gift for the wordsmith or scholar in your life.  After all, normal clocks are much better suited for the mathematicians of the world that actually enjoy staring at numbers. The clock states things in 5 minute intervals.  It states things like “five to three” and “three o’ clock”.  It just flips through all of those words to give you the proper time.  It only comes in the black shown here, so hopefully you’re a fan of black and white.  Unfortunately getting everything spelled out for your comes at a cost.  You can purchase the Flip Clock – Time Talks for £299.00 or about $454 through Rockett St George . Chalkboard Watch filled with math

Instead of hiding your nerdy love for math, show it off on your wrist for all the world to see.  This watch makes math look exactly like it always should.  White chalky scratches on a green chalkboard.  It can remind you of the good old days of sitting in the classroom with that classic chalk smell always lingering in the air. The rest of the watch looks pretty normal, just your classic black band.  The hands of the watch itself  are pretty normal too, although they do mimic pieces of chalk just a little bit.  These watches were created as a limited edition series designed by Rolf Sachs .  Unfortunately that was a long while ago and it’s not obvious on the site if they even still create these watches

Kitchen Scale Wall Clock

This wall clock may appear to be nothing more than a very retro looking wall clock that attempts to mimic the look of a record.  In reality this kitchen clock does double duty.  As well as letting you know the time, this thing also can weigh things while you’re cooking in the kitchen.  That way you have it handy for those particular recipes that give weights instead of cups or numbers of items.

DIY USB Bronze Bell Clock

The tragic thing about computers is that they always so silently broadcast the time.  It used to be that clocks were works of art in both sound and looks.  Now there is just a small digital clock on the very bottom corner of your screen.  It’s not exactly awe inspiring.  Instead of settling for that, now you can turn your computer clock into something much more grand.  Just make one of these USB bronze bell striking clocks and you’ll always be able to hear the time. Every hour the bronze bell rings out and even once at the half hour mark, just like the big cuckoo clocks.  Thankfully the person that created this was kind enough to post a guide on how to make your very own.  That way everyone in your office can enjoy all of those classic sounds that clocks used to come with.  I’m sure your co-workers will just love you.
