Normally I don’t report on anything that STIHL does, as I’m not big on leaf blowers. However, the ad department came up with a very interesting ad campaign: a calendar that peels itself off. You can watch a video of it after the jump, and it works by simply ripping out the book binding thread that mounts the pages together.

This is your life and its ending one leaf at a time
Of all the watches I’ve come across, this is probably one of the strangest out there. It has straight forwards hands, and convenient notches to help you read the time. Really, while it is strange, it is extremely straightforward as far as reading the time goes. Which to me is perfectly fine. I wouldn’t want to deal with a watch that you can barely read on a regular basis. The big twist with this watch is that the back of it is completely clear. It’ll show through every last one of your arm hairs. Making it even more true when you say the time is a hair past a freckle. I’m not sure that I’d want my arm featured so much that it’s the backing to my watch, but maybe you’re proud of the way your wrists look. You might have to wait a while to get your hands on one of these though. As of now they’re just a concept design by Jihun Yeom

Lately I’ve been thinking of replacing my wall clock and going for something completely different and with this Canvas Clock that’s exactly what I’ve found. Printed onto a pretty white canvas is nothing more than a clock. However, instead of purely being an image like it initially appears, it actually tells you the current time. It’s a great way for you to have that tabletop clock look except on your wall. The hands of the clock are the only real parts, the rest are just something printed onto the canvas. To control it and change out the batteries you just remove the canvas from the wall and work it all from the back. It only requires a single AA battery, which is of course not included. The whole thing measures 29.7 cm long. You can purchase it through Latest Buy for $36.56

The Real Tim Canvas Clock shows current time
If you’re in a long distance relationship, doomed to spend a fortune on phone bills and traveling expenses, then this would make for a cute Valentine’s Day gift. Instead of just showing your current time, it shows the time of your significant other too. It would make it easier to figure out when to call and be a constant reminder that the one you love is in a whole different time zone.

You & Me Wall Clock keeps track of other time zones
Basically all of the weather machines out there have zero personality. They have their fancy screens to give you all of your weather alerts and your important weather information. However, most of them lack personality. Well this homemade job is packed full of personality. It may not warn you about severe weather, but it will let you know what to expect before you step outdoors. The Arduino weather clock was created by Sean Carney. They used an old clock and then swapped out a mechanism for one controlled by an Arduino chipset. It manages to confirm the weather outside through the Environment Canada website. It will check the website every 15 minutes for weather updates and then change the hands of the clock as need. If you’re interested in making your own, you can learn a bit more about the clock by going to Carney’s website . Source: Gizmodiva Cool Gift Idea: Digital Picture Frames , check out our reviews

Usually my tastes for retro gadgets knows no bounds. However, I think this bit of technology is a bit much even for me. However, if you like your devices to be incredibly unique, then you’ll love this Phonograph. If nothing else, it is most definitely unique. Plus, it appears to have modern conveniences, such as a clock to wake up with every morning. You also have the bonus that it quite obviously has a lamp built into it, which is probably the most strange part of the device. It’d look almost normal were it not for that lamp popping out of the top of the clock. It seems to have a radio as well that goes with it. Unfortunately the details on the device are somewhat limited. Besides that it has an output power of 3W and was created in Guangdong, China. You can go to the product page and contact the creator to find out how to get your hands on one of these. They don’t actually list the price though

Phonograph 218 Clock Radio
Just by glancing at this small clock radio, it makes it appear as if it’s an incredibly complicated device. However, despite all of those dials, it’s a pretty basic clock. It lets you know the time just like every other clock and can even play the radio. It just happens to look interesting while it does all of those normal boring functions, which is enough to make it stand out in a crowd of monotonous clock radios. In addition to having a clock and an FM radio, it also has a built-in indoor thermometer. All of the information like the time is displayed on an LCD display with a backlight. It also has the usual snooze button that comes in handy on those mornings when you’re not quite ready to drag yourself out of that warm bed. It comes in Sun Orange, Snow White and Night Black. Unfortunately, it is a bit pricey. You can purchase it for £289.00 or about $462

Being a parent would also make you wear another hat – that of being a zombie, since when your little one doesn’t sleep, nobody else at home gets their sleep. That’s the way things have been all the while, but with the Good Nite Lite , we hope that the situation would end up being the better for you. It basically teaches your little one the difference between night and day as long as he/she is able to recognize the difference between the Sun and the Moon

There are a few different types of alarm clocks that allow for you to be soundlessly woken up. This one actually works with your cellphone though.
