It’s funny how you can see something and it just so strongly reminds you of something else you’ve seen before, like this very subtle Golden Robot USB Drive that I just can’t seem to put my finger on. Every time I glance at it I just hear this annoying voice yammering off a bunch of ridiculous survival statistics. It’s just the strangest reaction. Clearly this robot is nothing more than a gold robot and that’s it. Alright, so it’s obvious they were just trying to dodge having to give George Lucas some royalties by not coming out and calling this robot C-3PO. What’s odd is that this is actually a little nicer than some of the C-3PO toys I’ve spotted. By just skipping out on the facial features it makes this one look a little more well made. A lot of times if you don’t think you can do something right, by just skipping that entirely it makes things look a whole lot less cheesy. You can pick up the 4GB USB drive for $25 through Gadget4all .

I can’t say that I see much resemblance between a narrow bridge sign and this USB drive, but if that’s what it takes to create this kind of art then that’s fine by me. Actually I think it looks a bit more like the robot off of The Jetsons. Either way, you’ll have a whole lot more fun carrying around this drive rather than carrying around any other plain old drive. Sure, this one costs more, but you’ll get to be in the elite steampunk user club.

The serious Mac fans out there can’t help but show their fanboy side just every now and then. Well if you are one of those fans then you might enjoy this USB drive. Especially since carrying around this drive means you’ve rescued a little bit of plastic from making it to the nearest landfill. It never hurts to be just a little extra eco-friendly from time to time. The drive is made by using old recycled keys straight from a MacBook. Within the drive itself is 4GB of storage space for you to transport all of your important files. Beyond that it’s a pretty basic drive. To pick one up it’ll cost you $60 through Etsy , which truthfully is a little steep. At least you’ll get to show off your Mac loving side. Finding the proper iPhone dock to really represent your iPhone can be tricky business. Especially if you’re a very particular person who prefers to keep their gadgets as unique as humanly possible. Thankfully there are enough hard working men and women out there that strive to make interesting accessories for all sorts of gadgets. One example of that is the iRetrophone-Steampunk iPhone Base. Thanks to the base, they say it gets rid of radiation problems. It can accommodate sync and charge options through a USB cable that you’ll have to provide yourself. The base is compatible with all iPhones. You can purchase one for $450 through Etsy

Cirago is a leading name when it comes to multimedia centers, storage and wireless solutions, and the company has just announced that their latest baby, the CDD2000 USB 3.0 Hard Drive Docking Station , is available for purchase Stateside. While we know that the USB 3.0 standard has been around for some months already, hardware and computer manufacturers seem to be pretty slow in adopting the inevitable.
