I have never used a GPS while walking, but if I did, I would want to use a Tamtam instead of a TomTom. This is the Tamtam Flash from Designaffairs Studio, and it is designed to make it easy for the average pedestrian who is traveling on the sidewalk instead of on the highway. As you can see, the Tamtam works as a flashlight which will enable it to work on any flash surface, such as this sidewalk

iPods might be the premier portable media players of choice, but this doesn’t mean there isn’t a slice of the market that wants something affordable without compromising on its features. The Gemei HD8800 portable media player is one such device – it comes with 1080p support, although you won’t find anything as fancy as a multitouch touchscreen display in there. $122 thereabouts ought to net you a 4.3″ display at 800 x 480 resolution, 1080p full HD support when connected to a HDTV, alongside support for a variety of popular audio and video formats including RMVB, MOV, AVI, VOB, MKV, MP4, WMV, TS, TP, MPG, Flash, MP3, WMA, FLAC and APE

If you really enjoy your personal space, this might be one good way to make sure you get it. Frankly, no one wants to mess around with the guy that happens to carry a grenade flash drive, it’s just probably going to make people a touch nervous. That is unless you’re well known for enjoying goofy flash drives, then it’s unlikely that this trick will work. If you don’t want to look too dark and cryptic, you can always purchase the grenade in one of the brighter colors instead of black.
