Back in the early nineties, we all thought that the video games of 2010 would be with goggles and a toy gun. We were wrong with Virtual Boy, and we never figured out a way to get a player to run in a game while standing still in the gaming area. Better late than never, VirtuSphere is here to bring our virutal reality dreams to life.

Looks like Sony has finally ceded to the fact that having proper motion controls in their home console is definitely a step forward, instead of having a half-baked one on their original SixAxis.

Rock Band and Guitar Hero are great rhythm-based games, no doubt about that, but how about upping the ante when it comes to realism? Seven45 Studios has released its guitar gaming controller that boasts half a dozen strings, functioning not only as a regular gaming controller for their Power Gig: Rise of the SixString title, but it also doubles up as an actual electric guitar which can be plugged into an amp. Both the game and guitar will be sold together, where experienced guitarists can go for the option of chording, which in turn is a whole lot more challenging and requires specific finger placement on the strings

I remember watching a Saturday Night Live fake ad for Wilson brand trapdoors. This ad showed how superior Wilson brand trapdoors were to other leading brands (I’m going to assume that there aren’t any trapdoor distributors in real life). Their slogan was “with Wilson, it’s out of sight”

The old Game Boy Advance cartridges don’t get used as much as before. Now they find themselves in the backs of closets practically forgotten. Well thankfully one person is giving those old cartridges some use once again. Instead of jamming them into your Game Boy, you’ll be plugging these into the USB port of your computer. Then while it’s not in use it can just hang from your keychain thanks to the built-in keychain ring. As of now you can find these in 3 different versions. There’s the Mario Vs. Donkey Kong, Super Mario Advance and Metroid Fusion. All except for Super Mario come with 4GB of built-in memory. However, Super Mario actually has 8GB. For those worried about the brand name of their memory, these were created using Kingston memory. The 4GB drives can be purchased for $39.99 through Etsy , whereas the 8GB is priced at $49.99.

Kids gaming can have some worthwhile benefits despite that video and computer games have received a bad reputation. These Xtractaurs strive to give the kids a toy to play with in real life as well as on the computer. Don’t worry, it’s not one of the boring educational games that your kids will get bored of after two or three rounds. With this surely it’ll take at least 6 or 7 times of playing the game. That has to be some kind of a record. Plus even after they’re bored of the game, they still have a toy dinosaur to enjoy. These Xtractaurs come in several different versions including the Triceratop, ThePteranodon, Utahraptor and Stegosaurus. This is actually the starter kit, it includes the extraction gun that allows for them to take a sample of their dinosaur’s “DNA”. Then it uploads the dinosaur into a virtual dinosaur world where the kids can fight other virtual monsters. When they’re bored of fighting there are also puzzles, an arcade and other action games. All of which will make their dinosaur even stronger. You can purchase the starter kit for about $9.97 through Amazon . As for the additional dinosaurs, they range from about $9 on up to $30.
