Now this is the way to do it if you’re not big on the look of ceiling fans. Instead of spending a fortune on one just to get a trendy one, spend a fortune on one that disappears. Sure, the light stays right there, but those fan blades tuck away until you’re ready to use them again. With this you’re never stuck having a fan around at all times when you don’t need it. The great thing is that even when the fan is running, the blades are completely clear. With the blades out, they’re not going to draw a whole lot of attention to themselves. It doesn’t take a lot to bring those blades out either, it just uses a little centrifugal force. This features things like brushed chrome, frosted white glass and even a remote control. It is a bit expensive though. You can purchase it for $559 through Hunter. Source: OhGizmo Coolest Gadgets UK – For all your UK centric tech and gadget news.

Every so often you come across something online that just sets off a few red flags. You’re constantly having small facts thrown at you in articles and through random research that you do online to settle silly debates. Yet every so often, you get that inkling of a hint that something seems fishy. Although I’m all about this concept design, I really doubt parts of their facts. Either way though, having something to keep your kitchen sanitary could be handy. “The research” showed 10 areas that were bad as far as bacteria goes, such as a sponge, dishcloth, chopping board and refrigerator. They then go on to say that the dishcloth and cutting board are difficult to sanitize and I’d have to disagree there. A cutting board you just have to know the right chemical to use and a dishcloth just gets thrown in the laundry. It’s entirely possible though that they know something I don’t, but none of my quick google runs have revealed any red flags over dishcloths. However, if you just want a different way to clean flat objects, then this is a perfectly reasonable choice. When it’s working it feeds the object through the machine and cleans as well as dries it. Being still a concept from Chang Shin Gwak, this isn’t up for purchase just yet though. Source: Yanko Check out the Coolest Gadgets 2008 Gift Guides , Christmas shopping made easy

It never fails, no matter where I go I am always the one that’s frozen. Everyone else could be almost sweating and I’m resisting the urge to shiver. If you’re also cold natured, then this is definitely the table for you. This Japanese design will keep you warm while you sit in that drafty dining room. Of course if you’re the only one cold, you’re going to end up roasting whoever else is stuck at the table. The table is from Hidakagu and has a 360 watt infrared heater underneath of the table itself. It is designed to keep your legs and lower torso warm. The table was actually inspired by the traditional Kotatsu, which is a low table/blanket/heater combination that wasn’t designed for dining. This table takes the two and combines them. Unfortunately, I don’t see a whole lot of information on purchasing these just yet. Source: OhGizmo Check out the Coolest Gadgets 2008 Gift Guides , Christmas shopping made easy.

Dryer balls are nothing new, they’re just a rubber ball that takes the place of fabric softener. Just don’t ever use them in the winter, unless you enjoy your clothes being absolutely filled with static electricity. Well normal dryer balls are pretty dull, but these new ones could be pretty handy. Instead of just keeping clothes soft, this will steam all of your clothes while they’re in the dryer.

At first I wasn’t the most thrilled over the idea of someone peeing and washing your hands in the same place. Honestly, once you really think it through although it is odd, it would save on space and spending money on multiple fixtures in bathrooms. Plus, it couldn’t be much more unsanitary than washing your hands right next to the toilet, which is the case in most bathrooms. On the bottom of it all is a urinal then up top is the sink. The water that you use to wash your hands is used to wash out the urinal. With that extra design quality it’ll help to save on water, which could really cut down on the bill for any large establishment like a restaurant. This was a iF Concept Design winning entry and for good reason. It was designed by Yeongwoo Kim.

This toaster is definitely making my toaster look bad. I really thought I was doing pretty good, mine even has buttons for bagels and frozen items. Sadly it turns out that my shiny metal toaster is getting behind on the times thanks to T-Fal feeling the need to show off. Not only do they have the buttons I adore, but they also have added an LCD screen. They have the usual buttons, but they have some added ones that could come in handy. Things like defrost and reheat are a little new to me. Although I can’t really think of an instance that I’ve needed a reheat function. The toaster shown here is $34.95 through Cooking, but that’s not the only Digital Toaster that T-Fal has fixed up. They also have a longer one that will accommodate 4 slices of bread and it’s not much more. To get the larger one it’s only $39.95 .

What better way to block the light than a whole lot of sunglasses? Particularly a bunch of shiny aviator sunglasses. If you have a thing for aviator sunglasses, but just can’t seem to pull them off well, then you could always pick up this lampshade and at least make your lamp look incredibly cool.

Hot towels are a great way to freshen up whenever the mercury drops, just as with cold towels on a particularly hot day. Well, you might be single and do not have any domestic help back home to provide you with a nice, fresh hot towel at the end of each working day, but at least you are able to fork out $79.95 for the Personal Towel Warmer . This warming bin has enough space to heat up to three average-sized bath towels in five minutes, letting you enjoy a spa-like experience right in the comfort of your own home
