It seems that in recent years, anything that Apple comes up with seems to generate a whole lot of publicity. We can’t really blame them for making good on their range of devices though, delivering quality as well as the most important of them all – a fantastic user experience which appeals to the broadest user base.

If you prefer to enjoy your music while you’re soaking in the tub, this is one speaker that can bob along in the water right with you. It doesn’t just sit on a shelf at a safe distance away from the water, this round speaker can dive into the bathwater and still play your favorite music loud and clear. Which is a bonus for those of you that have the tendency to clumsily knock your electronics into bodies of water. The MP3 player has an alarm clock, an FM tuner and stereo speakers. On the inside of the protective waterproof cover you can plug in an SD/SDHC card (up to 32GB) or a USB drive. The round speaker can run an SD card for 13 hours, a USB drive for 9 hours and the radio for 28 hours. In order to keep it up and running it requires 6 AA batteries. With having that many it’d definitely be a whole lot more convenient to pick up some rechargeable batteries. It’s priced at about $120 , but unfortunately it’s a Japan product. Which means it might be a little difficult to get your hands on

Considering all of the strange iPhone accessories out there, I wouldn’t blame you if your mind was in the gutter when you saw the picture of this booster stick. After all, it’s not like there isn’t already a sexual iPhone accessory out there. This one is perfectly innocent though and it’ll even work with more than your iPhone. This small tube will make sure that none of your electronics stay dead while you’re away from your computer. It comes with 2 Eneloop Nickel-Metal Hydride rechargeable batteries. Those small rechargeable batteries will give an approximate run time of 90 minutes. It does not come with a USB cable, you just use the cable that your device came with. It’ll work with anything from music players, to cellphones and onto portable game consoles. The Japanese gadget can be found through the Japan Trend Shop for $45 .

Pentax’s K-7 digital camera isn’t something that is new to the market, as it was released a while ago but the folks over at Japan decided that a splash of silver is always welcome, hence the Pentax K-7 Limited Silver edition digital camera. As with any device which falls under the limited edition category, you can be sure that quantities will be limited, and the same applies to the Pentax K-7. It will be limited to a mere 1,000 sets worldwide, so collectors as well as hobbyists who want something different or special might want to give this Limited Silver edition run a go, otherwise picking one up in the second hand market or on an online auction site is going to cost you much, much more sometime down the road

It’s just before February and grocery stores are stocking up on heart-shaped boxes of chocolates. Well for those of you that enjoy your heart-shaped gadgets instead of chocolates, here’s one more. Despite that on the outside this looks like nothing more than a sweetly made jewelry box, it’s actually an iPod dock to play your music out loud with. The Jewelry Box Speaker may not have space for any jewelry, but it’ll make sure to keep your favorite tunes cranked. It actually comes from a Japanese company, Marubeni Infotec. The dock will work with 4th gen iPods, as well as the iPod Mini, Nano, Classic, Touch and the iPhone 3G/3GS. The speakers are 2W by 2ch. It has heart-shaped buttons to keep control of your iPod and even a mirror on the top to check your makeup with. It will be released at the end of next month within Japan for $110. There were a lot of robots on parade at CES this year, and this one was the I-FAIRY from Kokoro Co. According to my source, this robot can be “programmed with the user’s voice and accompanying body gestures that give the I-FAIRY a more natural feel when used for museum guide work”

Epson wants you to celebrate the new year with one of the coolest technological achievements from last year. I’m not talking about the tablet, but Augmented Reality. True, augmented reality was not created last year, but it really flourished in 2009 with numerous ad campaigns

There’s nothing quite like owning a pair of earphones that make it appear as if you have a mushroom growing out of both ears. You’re bound to turn heads, but you may cease to turn the heads of the opposite sex in a way that you’d prefer. Instead of a come hither look, you may begin to receive that social leper look. However, if you can ignore all of that, you’ll have some of the most unique and hilarious earphones around. These Crazy Earphones will be released next month. It appears that it’ll only include four different versions. There are the mushrooms, the arrow through an apple, a miniature ear and then a katana. Each one begins one one ear and makes it appear as if it goes through to the next. Each pair will cost you $22 . Although they’re only being released in Japan, so it may be difficult for those outside Japan. Source: Crunchgear Check out the Coolest Gadgets 2008 Gift Guides , Christmas shopping made easy.
