The first thing you have to learn to do as a parent is to blow up random objects. Actually, you might want to start practicing before you have kids to work those lungs out a little. Turning pages while playing a musical instrument takes almost as much talent as it takes to learn to play an instrument in the first place. If you’ve switched to reading music on your laptop or iPad there is a way to make it easer to deal with pages. Sadly this little page turning gadget won’t actually help you turn those paper pages that can be so troublesome. The AirTurn connects wirelessly to your computer as a music reader. To get it up and going you just need to plug the receiver into the USB port of your computer. Then when you’re ready to turn the page you just have to tap your foot on the pedal. It’ll work with most document programs, PDF readers and presentation programs. You can get the AirTurn with pedals for $69.95 to $99.95. It just depends if you want one or 2 pedals. Any furniture that helps to organize those unruly cables is worth looking over. This simplistic looking desk would allow for you to appear clutter free. Even though deep down in those table legs it conceals a mess of cords that used to constantly be in your way. The aTable even keeps its name nice and simple. Now if only all things could be this minimal and clean. As you can probably tell from the picture, each of the legs has an escape hole at the bottom. Then at the top there’s a hole to feed your cords down to the outlets that you’re using. Sure, it doesn’t have any drawer storage or a keyboard drawer, but if you’re just working on your laptop, it’d work great. The table is made out of glass-reinforced plastic to make it extra stiff. The legs themselves are actually removable. This was designed by Beautus Kopp, who is a graduate of the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design. This concept would allow for you to carry around just a little less and maybe even spend a tiny bit less money. Those of you that enjoy carrying your precious pets around with you in public, instead of letting them walk, will enjoy this bag. Especially if you’re a person that’s highly attached to your music. It’ll let your pooch jump up and down within the bag to your favorite song. If that’s not enough to make you carry the bag, it might help things along that the bag was given to last year’s Oscar attendees. You can hook the bag up to your iPod, a plain old MP3 player or even your laptop. Hopefully your dog won’t manage to chew through any cords though. It would also be bad if your puppy decided to pee within the bag too, considering the hefty price tag. Oddly they don’t mention if they’ve tried to protect the speakers from moisture of any kind. We have already covered Belkin’s Series of Comfort Mice , and I was able to check out another Belkin product that improves user comfort on their computers. I suppose that the CushDesk doesn’t really need any explanation as to what it does, nor is it anything really advanced. However, it solves that universal problem of putting a laptop on your lap and beating that “hotseat effect”.

For being such a simple looking speaker, it still manages to somehow look great. There is really nothing out of the ordinary with its looks except that it doesn’t look like just another cheap plastic speaker. It actually looks like it’s created out of decent quality materials. No, it’s not in some goofy shape to show your love of Star Wars or something along those lines. Then again, perhaps that’s a good thing. The speaker is small and meant to be plugged into your laptop for when you need a bit better sound quality. Anyone that’s ever owned a laptop is aware that they don’t exactly have stellar sound quality built into them. The speaker is plenty portable and is said to offer big sound. Which would make it easier when you want to listen to music or watch a movie on your laptop. Hopefully what they say is true too, since you’re going to get stuck paying $49.95 for the speaker.

This is one of those simple items that would be great to keep in your laptop case for whenever you happen to need it. After all, there is nothing quite as obnoxious as wanting to unplug your laptop, but still wanting the end of the cord to stay on the table top. Especially since it almost never stays where you want it to, it inevitably falls underneath the table. Then you’re stuck crawling on your hands and knees to find where the cord went. This hook would save you from having to go on that search. It just easily slips on the edge of the table and then it holds onto the cord of your choosing. Personally, having a MacBook, this clip would make my life far easier. Since on occasion I just accidentally bump the side of my laptop and the cord instantly drops to the floor. The clip comes in two different sizes the smaller will working with tables up to 1” thick and the larger up to 1.75” thick. You can purchase one of these clips for $11 from Charles & Marie .

There are very few gadgets left that perform only a single function. Many of them have more little functions than you can count. So why should your laptop sleeve only perform one task? That task being to protect your laptop from any bumps and scrapes it might get while it’s being transported from one place to another. It’s definitely a nice thing that the laptop does that for you, but it’d be nice if it did more than that. Well Kensington now has a laptop case that also converts into a laptop stand. Just fold it back and forth to suit whichever need you might have at the moment and you’re set. Right now it’s not out just yet, but you can pre-order the item. Oddly enough though, they aren’t stating when you’ll receive the laptop case if you do choose to pre-order it. The sleeve will fit laptops ranging in size from 14.1” on up to 15.4”. Right now this only comes in one size, but hopefully they’ll create more at some point. You can hit pre-order directly on the Kensington website or you can check out the list of retailers and how much they’ll be selling it for. The retailers have it listed anywhere from $25.99 on up to $45.95 .
