People are always purchasing those silly little keychain lights. Most of the time they could barely be described as attractive or interesting. If you’re going to carry it as a keychain it should have a little personality. If you’re a big time photography or old camera lover, then this keychain could do double duty for you. It’ll show off your favorite hobby and the flash doubles as a handy little flashlight. Like most keychain flashlights, it isn’t going to have a ton of light. It will at least help you find where to insert your key when you’re fumbling in the dark though. To work the light there is just one press button that will kick it on and even make a shutter sound when it’s pressed. To keep it on you’ll have to hold down on that button. You can purchase one of these for $8 through Gadget Brando . Source: GeekAlerts Coolest Gadgets UK – For all your UK centric tech and gadget news.

Now this is the way to do it if you’re not big on the look of ceiling fans. Instead of spending a fortune on one just to get a trendy one, spend a fortune on one that disappears. Sure, the light stays right there, but those fan blades tuck away until you’re ready to use them again. With this you’re never stuck having a fan around at all times when you don’t need it. The great thing is that even when the fan is running, the blades are completely clear. With the blades out, they’re not going to draw a whole lot of attention to themselves. It doesn’t take a lot to bring those blades out either, it just uses a little centrifugal force. This features things like brushed chrome, frosted white glass and even a remote control. It is a bit expensive though. You can purchase it for $559 through Hunter. Source: OhGizmo Coolest Gadgets UK – For all your UK centric tech and gadget news.

It’s funny how you can see something and it just so strongly reminds you of something else you’ve seen before, like this very subtle Golden Robot USB Drive that I just can’t seem to put my finger on. Every time I glance at it I just hear this annoying voice yammering off a bunch of ridiculous survival statistics. It’s just the strangest reaction. Clearly this robot is nothing more than a gold robot and that’s it. Alright, so it’s obvious they were just trying to dodge having to give George Lucas some royalties by not coming out and calling this robot C-3PO. What’s odd is that this is actually a little nicer than some of the C-3PO toys I’ve spotted. By just skipping out on the facial features it makes this one look a little more well made. A lot of times if you don’t think you can do something right, by just skipping that entirely it makes things look a whole lot less cheesy. You can pick up the 4GB USB drive for $25 through Gadget4all . I had thought that the trend with gadgets was to keep making them smaller and smaller, no matter how easy it makes them to lose. Sure, this will make it so that you can record things directly to your iPod, but it’s twice the size of a normal tape recorder. Something has just gone horribly backwards here. I know, it offers all sorts of features, but as a fan of the sleek and portable it’s hard to get past the size. Then again maybe you’ll be happy to have a gadget again that has some meat on its bones.

I think we all know that Back to the Future II has inspired much technology that is yet to become real by the year 2015. That was the year that Marty and Doc traveled to at the beginning of the film, for those that don’t remember it. Granted, we are closer to a hoverboard than we were before, and someone is working on “Power Laces”.

When you’re decorating something with icing you’re usually stuck with some squishy bag to write with, which just feels a little unnatural. If it feels unnatural, then your writing and decorations are not going to be nearly as pretty. Now you could get used to that squishy bag, but only if you do that sort of thing often. For those that don’t there is this Frosting Deco Pen. There are all sorts of colored pens out there, but personally I think I’d choose a pen with frosting in it over the rest. The pen is battery powered and comes with 3 refillable frosting cartridges. Don’t worry, you can just use normal frosting from the store. The Swiss designed pen does cost a little more than your average pen, but it gets filled with frosting. That makes it far better. You can pick up the Kuhn Rikon Frosting Deco Pen for $30 . We’re not too sure just how long the Transformers craze is going to last, but if you’re still into gigantic robots that decided to make our earth as their little playground, then the steampunk Optimus Prime you see here is primed (pardon the pun) to be a bestseller. Made by the Encline Design team, this steampunk model comes in an extremely detailed design, and Optimus’ vehicle mode would be the steam engine from IDW’s comic-book, Hearts of Steel. It won’t just be any model though, since it will come equipped with functional lights as well as wheels that roll, not to mention a detachable trailer which can double up as a secondary weapon just like the trailer that comes with his famouse firetruck mode.
