If you’re worried about power being consumed while your A/C adapters are plugged in, this Leech Plug is one solution. A normal adapter will suck up a little power even when your portable electronics are not being charged. This plug will actually unplug itself once the device has received a full charge, which would take care of that problem. The plug was designed by Conor Klein. It actually looks absolutely boring and doesn’t appear to be even remotely revolutionary. When in fact it’s very unique. It mimics the actions of an actual leech. A leech will take its fill and then drop off and that’s exactly how this device works. Right now it’s still a concept design, so it’s not something that can be purchased.

It would be nice if you could just carry around a personal masseuse everywhere you go. One that could drop everything and rub your neck at any time of the day. It’d be even better if it only cost you one small fee to do this endlessly. Unfortunately that is slightly unrealistic, but at least Panasonic has come up with a portable neck massager. We’ll call it a happy medium. This comes in grey, bright green and even pink. The pretty little neck massager requires a pair of CR2032 batteries to keep it up and running. The unfortunate side of the gadget is that it’s through Panasonic’s Japanese division. As of now it doesn’t appear that this is available anywhere but there. Hopefully it’ll find its way to other regions of the world though. Yamaha does not only make great motorbikes, they are also able to churn out audio devices and sound systems. Well, to add another gizmo to their list of achievements would be the Pocketrak W24 and C24 portable recorders, touted to produce great sound in a compact package. Both of these new convenient, reliable and unique portable recording devices were the result of deep thought and design, where those who laid their eyes (and hands, thereafter) on it were pleasantly surprised at how tiny and useful it was

South Korean companies have certainly come a long way since they first started off on wobbly ground, and boy are they conquering the global market in many industries. Their automakers, Hyundai and Kia are even able to give the Japanese companies a run for their yen, and Samsung and LG are already global players where consumer electronics are concerned. We’ll be taking a closer look at the latter today, with LG Electronics having the honor of introducing the industry’s first portable, battery-operated mobile DTV Stateside, where it was specially designed to receive new rugged over-the-air signals being transmitted by local broadcasters.
