Coolest Door Lock in Town

World famous lock specialists Yale have just introduced their new Keyless door locking product, so after a drunken night you don’t need to fumble around with keys just slur the words “Open Sesame” (whilst pressing the included key fob) and the door will automagically unlock. The Yale Keyfree locking system’s groundbreaking technologically advanced features include fake PIN recognition, remote locking from up-to 15 meters away, voice alerts and the ability to create multiple codes– to mention just a few. Keyfree has been designed to not only conform to, but to set new industry security standards, using ‘Secured by Design’ (a UK police initiative for safer homes) as a benchmark.

Effective and Efficient Event Dissemination for RFID Applications

The adoption of radio frequency identification (RFID) tags and devices facilitates the observation and monitoring of event patterns, while highly temporal restrained RFID data further make events complicated. Although the existing Pub/Sub systems can help distributed applications monitor and disseminate interesting events, they are unable to express RFID-related events directly. Extending a system for new RFID requirements not only needs a lot of work, but also provides no performance guarantees

Find your tools quickly with RFID tags

If you are in construction, TV reporting, or any other job that requires you to bring expensive tools to another location, then you know the frustration of leaving tools behind. On a somewhat related note, I left a camera behind at a wedding that I went to last week, and all I could think was: “oh, I should have done a quick inventory of my things before I just drove off”
