A lightsaber just isn’t a lightsaber unless it lets off that strange glow. Well now you can put some use to that glow by making it double as mood lighting in your bedroom. Nothing is bound to draw in the opposite sex more than flipping off that overhead light and letting the romantic glow of the lightsabers do all the work. If you think just one won’t do the trick you could hook up several to really finish off the room. These 27-inch tall wall mounted lightsabers come with a remote control. On that control you can choose between 7 different color effects, although they don’t quite specify what those effects are exactly. To keep one of the lights up and running you’ll need 5 AAA batteries. Those of you with children under 3 should be careful with this one since it does have a whole lot of small parts. You can pick one up for $29.99 through the Star Wars Shop . Although it won’t actually ship out until sometime in August

Getting kids comfortable with water isn’t exactly easy. I thought my niece would be a fish by now since she’s constantly out at her Grandparent’s house where she has access to a pool, but instead she’s actually a little nervous around water. This very fancy Baby Spa Pool was actually created for child care companies and might help kids be more comfortable with water. It has a whole lot of lighting features and will let them bob around while still allowing the worker to keep an extremely close eye on the baby. The glass side on it is to help the teacher be able to make sure the babies are safe. It has some spa functions like having some lights that will probably keep babies pretty well entranced. My guess is that this is going to be marketed at the very high end daycares, because I can’t see an overcrowded daycare being able to safely utilize this. With the balls and the flotation devices it would be a whole lot of fun for the little ones, but it would be a tricky device to use in a practical environment full of kids. This was featured at the 2010 Children Baby Maternity Exposition in Shanghai, China. There isn’t a whole lot of pricing information out there though. When it comes to energy conservation there are a whole lot of small gadgets that you can choose from. There are several that do nothing more than let you know just how much energy is being sucked away by leaving the device plugged in all the time. Hey, if it works to motivate you then it’s worth it to have the stats handy. However, if that’s not quite enough for you, this Energenie does a lot of the work for you. Like many of the other devices to control your appliances and electronics, you just plug the appliance into the energy saver and then it plugs into the outlet. The big benefit with this gadget is that once it detects that a device has gone into that famous standby mode, it will just cut off all power to it. The possibilities are endless with this one, you can attach it to anything from your TV onto the smaller gadgets like your CD player. You can purchase one of these for £13.99 or about $20 through Nigel’s Eco Store .

ViewSonic is more often than not associated with LCD monitors which are easy on the pocket, alongside HDTVs which fall under the cheaper, more affordable range that do not skimp on quality. Well, the company is back this time round with a device that will surely make people do a doule take – after all, what they are offering has nothing to do with displaying moving images on a display on your work space or living room, but it comes in the form of the NexTV VMP75 network media player instead. This network media player is touted to deliver the ultimate entertainment experience to consumers’ HDTVs with Full HD 1080p playback from external storage devices, with the option to stream media from home networks and the Internet

Just to let you know, this isn’t a soda vending machine at Hogwarts. I’m not certain what flavor Harry and his friends would drink, perhaps butterbeer or pumpkin juice. This is an ordinary device from Chinavasion that enables an ordinary can of soda to float in the air

There are a whole lot of gadgets that can be used to make a miniature light show inside of your bath tub. That’s great for anyone who takes baths instead of showers on a very regular basis, but it still makes it so the light show isn’t enjoyed by many. Instead you should get something for your pool and then all of your guests can enjoy the colorful display of lights. The fun thing about this light is that it doesn’t just float and create the lights in one small area. You can set it to dive down into the depths of the water and then float all the way back up again. If you don’t want it bobbing up and down, you can also just set it to float. Then you can also choose between rapid or slow flashing lights. Each one measures 7 inches tall and if you buy 3 or more they become slightly cheaper. For one it’s $29.95 and for 3 they become $27.95 a piece through Solutions . Source: TechFresh Tech Cult – We cover the latest tech news, but always with a funny twist.
