A lightsaber just isn’t a lightsaber unless it lets off that strange glow.  Well now you can put some use to that glow by making it double as mood lighting in your bedroom.  Nothing is bound to draw in the opposite sex more than flipping off that overhead light and letting the romantic glow of the lightsabers do all the work.  If you think just one won’t do the trick you could hook up several to really finish off the room. These 27-inch tall wall mounted lightsabers come with a remote control.  On that control you can choose between 7 different color effects, although they don’t quite specify what those effects are exactly.  To keep one of the lights up and running you’ll need 5 AAA batteries.  Those of you with children under 3 should be careful with this one since it does have a whole lot of small parts.  You can pick one up for $29.99 through the Star Wars Shop .  Although it won’t actually ship out until sometime in August

Getting kids comfortable with water isn’t exactly easy.  I thought my niece would be a fish by now since she’s constantly out at her Grandparent’s house where she has access to a pool, but instead she’s actually a little nervous around water.  This very fancy Baby Spa Pool was actually created for child care companies and might help kids be more comfortable with water.  It has a whole lot of lighting features and will let them bob around while still allowing the worker to keep an extremely close eye on the baby. The glass side on it is to help the teacher be able to make sure the babies are safe.  It has some spa functions like having some lights that will probably keep babies pretty well entranced.  My guess is that this is going to be marketed at the very high end daycares, because I can’t see an overcrowded daycare being able to safely utilize this.  With the balls and the flotation devices it would be a whole lot of fun for the little ones, but it would be a tricky device to use in a practical environment full of kids.  This was featured at the 2010 Children Baby Maternity Exposition in Shanghai, China.  There isn’t a whole lot of pricing information out there though.
